There is one free level builder/engine out there that looks very promising. It is called Getic . You probably already know about it, but I just thought if you didn't, you may want to check it out. It supports lightmaps. I like Irrlicht better than OGRE because OGRE is very picky about it's custom me...

That is a VERY good idea. A 500k txt file turned me off instantly. Feel free to copy my DEdit FAQ page and modify it for RF if you like:

These are all I have on UVW unwrapping, but maybe you can find some help in them.

Fragmotion can edit ms3d files. You will still need Milkshape to import/export back to mot. Milkshape has a 30 day trial and Fragmotion has a 20 day trial. That should give you enough time to edit all the animations. I believe Misfit Modeler will also load and save ms3d files and supports bones. It...

There are only 2 other ways to get a model into Actor format that I know of besides 3dsm/gmax. They are Milkshape and the TrueGENE exporter for TrueSpace. Wings can export to 3ds, among other formats. And TrueSpace3.2 can read 3ds and convert it into cob that TrueGENE can convert to Act. TrueSpace 3...

Which Way is Up?
My model's axes are wrong after exporting. I use z =front, x=right, y=up.

Looking for an Engine/Editor Supporting Mesh World Geometry
I'd like to find a game with an editor where I can use the mesh from a modeling program as world geometry with collision detection. Both Unreal and Quake require you to make closed in "solid" boxes. This is not what I want. I want to be able to remove a face so the box will have only 5 sid...

I use MS11.net and another one "no banners" is http://port5.com/
I like ms11, and probably going to keep it. For about 30 dollars a year, it gives you 50 meg space and a whole lot of bandwidth. Portland is not good at all for pay, but for completely free, it's ok, low bandwith though.

There are some really good modeling and animation programs out there for free. They don't natively support your bdy and nfo format though, but I'm sure you guys could get with the authors or make one yourself. These two are my favorites: ppModeler is the best and easist subd modelier I've found. In ...
