Re: Message To Newbies and Whoever

That's what I've been trying to say for a while now.

Just because it's new and extremely high tech...does not mean it's any better. If you begin to use RF1, you may find that you continue to use the editors and many of the tools even if you go to an extremely high tech engine.

Re: Ogitor

Dude...if you don't stop with the personal attacks........but hey...you're a forum mod now, so I guess you can get away with it. Anyway....i tried it, gave it a good go.I like the way it does terrains, the "splat " tool is interesting with the different brushes for different paint effects.Placement o...

Re: Ogitor

Can't we use that ogre app framework to create our own?Have it how WE want it, have what we want in it....from the ground up? http://www.ogre3d.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=45709 Since it seems like i'm going to have to finish up my programming skills to get what I want, I might as well start here. An...

Re: 3D engines

I am calm, i'm just asking questions that i think are valid....

I'll give this newer version of ogitor a try...maybe it works better than the last.

But I still am confused as to why there can't be 4 windows.....

Re: 3D engines

Just a few serious questions, then ban me if you feel like, pnj. 1. Why must there be a " chat dialog" type box at the bottom of ogitor?Doesn't the treelist view thing to the left give you that info to begin with? 2. Why must there be these giant white spaces, and places in which nothing is in the e...

Re: 3D engines

I've heard. It's going to be similar to ogitor.I hate ogitor and everything else that even remotely resembles it. RFEDITPRO was designed right .Nothing else I've ever seen---not even one used to create major studio games---comes anywhere near the neighborhood of ease of use of RFEDITPRO. If i knew en...

Re: RF RPG Model With FULL WORKING ANIMATIONS!

i'm trying the world of warcraft method, i.e. one model with a crapload of different textures.....such as....you make 1 axe, and have 10 different textures to represent different versions of an axe...etc.Will let ya know how this works( oh, and that file above works great for me in rf....)

Re: Blender Exporter 0.2 alpha release

Here's the thing.Blender is all about rendering and not actual gamemaking , therefore, it's not an ideal tool for any gamemaker.I could care less who made what with the crap; they're one of a very very VERY small tiny insignificant minority. As the creator of this found out, Blender hates you.It just...

Re: 3D engines

I have tried EVERYTHING. Many years ago, i got into genesis3d....as it was just about the only thing out there at the time.I've been sticking with/using Rf since it was the "rabid framework for games".Nothing...and i do mean NOTHING ( including rf2) has an editor that is this simple to use.All RF ne...

RF RPG Model With FULL WORKING ANIMATIONS!

This is, as far as I know, the VERY FIRST working rf rpg animated actor! http://www.filefront.com/14588589/knight1.zip/ . Works wonderfully in Equity, not sure about Rf yet, haven't tried it.The animations are what rpger's expect---bow shooting, mace swinging, sword swinging, etc. Comes from a freew...
