Re: RF is the best
Can you please be more specific? How much time did you spend with it? Did you read any of the documentation? In what ways does it not live up to RF?gamerX wrote:I downloaded this engine and it isnt at rf level.

RF CAN compete. It just reqirest time and some better graphics than the current textures, so You create your own textures, And do a little bit of editing and BAM! Current quality game. Also, when RF2 comes out, It'll be capable of way more than the original RF. I'm talking about the absense of HDR,...

We plan to commercially publish Our games, my team has sugggested using something othr than RF for this, but my loyalties lie with RF and I hope to convince them otherwise when RF2 is...

It looks 3d accelerated to me. The textures are smooth and I see no pixels. Are ...

About HDR or Bloom. You can't reproduce the specular effects of HDR on surfaces or glare,... but RF does support dynamic lighting and with the right tones and intensity,.. you can give it the appearance of real sunlight. If you are really good at texturing you could add fake specular or glare to the...

RF games cannot commercially compete with the current standard of technology in the realm of action or RPG games for PC. On the other hand,.. casual games for the PC do not rely on cutting edge technology. There is also a big market for casual pc games. Most of them are puzzle-oriented with little a...

Either way...isn't it better to know how things work even if it's a hobby? That's like playing baseball and not knowing how to play properly. You can get hurt. ;) That's what the tutorials are for. You may not learn the inner-workings of Genesis3d,.. but you'll know how RF works and be able to use ...
