Just try this, It works for me every time no problems. 1 Decompile Virgil.act materials and motions using actor decompile provided with RF. 2 load Virgil.act with lithunwrap Provided with RF 3 save from lithunwrap as Virgil.ms3d 4 load Virgil.ms3d into milkshape v 1.8.0. I cant say for v 1.8.1 as I ...

You need to build the .act files using astudio (which comes with RF). astudio accepts files exported from max in .nfo fomat. You can download the max plugins from hilke1's website. Failing that export as .3ds and import into milkshape then export as .bdy files which astudio reads. You can make terra...

 Nothing new, thats always been the case. Simple workaround -- load the .bdy into lithunwrap and save as .ms3d or .3ds and load into milkshape no worries.

Still comes up with an error saying gtk less than 2.8. However CBmodel pro looks promissing as the beta can be used forever after free registration and has abr support.

Yes I agree 100% voltare. I have the very latest Blender release and still can't make head or tail of it. It's just too much effort to try and understand the interface when everything is so much easier and straightforward with milkshape. I know MS costs 25 bucks but its worth every penny of it for i...

The texture must be a square (multiple of 2) ie 64x64, 128x128, 256x256 etc and .bmp NOT .jpg or any other file type and in the same directory as the .bdy file for astudio to work. You can change to .tga if necessary using skin replacer AFTER your .act file has been built. In step 6c astudio change ...

@voltare.. My thoughts entirely. I can't work with Blender at all because of the interface. Milkshape is much much easier to use. I don't know about 3dmax, its just out of my income bracket (it costs more than a month's pension). So until Blender changes that ugly, difficult interface I'll stick wit...

Try loading the robot.bdy file created by decompile in milkshape into LithUnwrap and then save as robot.3ds milkshape will then load the .3ds file. This happens frequently with milkshape it doesn't recognise it's own .bdy files when it decompiles them sometimes. It still has the same problem with mi...

Happy new year to one and all. Sorry to hear about the hard drive Daniel, I hope you get it sorted without too much trouble. It'a quite a pain having to restore all your data from backup, especially if its the OS.

Well I still run win 2k. I got a new computer which runs on XP pro a couple of months back but I intend to ditch XP and put win 2k on that one too. I can't be doing with having to register every time I add new hardware or reinstall the OS. I never had any intention of going vista. In fact I am toyin...
