Re: ...a Mysterious project
Just BSP (and staticmesh as details only). Think about pillars and other artifacts to be used as cover spot (crouching and standing, to the left and to the right). I suggest you to try indoor first to simplify (but it's up to you). Don't plan anything big: I don't want to make you unsatisfied if I d...

Re: Compile Failed" Unable to load gbsplib.dll
Have you tried the tutorials? http://www.realityfactory.info/cms/index.php/learn/tutorials You should try them and post here if you still experience the same troubles. In my opinion the most likely case is that your level isn't "sealed" properly. To test if it's the case, try to build a big hollow c...

Re: ...a Mysterious project
Sorry. Sometimes life brings me back. I found a good player model. It's grabbed from a game, completely put out of the original context and even modified a little. The idea is exactly that: grab characters from other games and use them in a completely different context to avoid any possible recognit...

Re: Darker?
hit the compile button. You will see the default list settings at the bottom of the dialog window, light section (must be checked).
Another tip: in the light section of the compile window you can set the light scale value.

Re: Havok Physics Engine Released for Free
An update. PAL, Physics Abstraction Layer, unifies procedures and command to easily integrate and switch between different engines: Newton, PhysX, Tokamak, ODE, TrueAxis, Bullet and so on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhOKGBd-7iw It could be good idea to integrate PAL in RF. This could easily sett...

Re: ...a Mysterious project
Yes it's the Eli model, but it's only a placeholder (the enemy is a Gurlukovic soldier from Metal Gear Solid 2). The plan is to create new scripts for the player, the AI enemies, and some game mechanics such as doors and triggers. I'm not creating a game. It's like a template for a game. There's at ...

create a geometry brush, make it not visible or clipped or hinted. Then place over it a decal with the 2d image.

Hacked NearestPoint (backward compatible)
I've modified some script commands but I'm trying to keep them backward compatible so that old script sould work exactly in the same way. This is a modified version of the NearestPoint command. The command search t the area specified by the Minimum and Maximum distance for a valid ScriptPoint, but c...
