Re: Competition

Oh, gee. It took me a while to find the file... http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/xx229/GMer56/mansion.jpg I think I did pretty well for having a low attention span and having to work with a touchpad. If I remember right the bus to boston had an outlet, but not the one from boston :( The timing is ...

Re: Animations??????

Make sure you clear the listener window before running the script. Also use YAGG (Yet another gmax grabber) to prevent any goof-ups when transferring to an .key file.

YAGG: http://yagg.doubleshadow.wz.cz/

When you saue it, be sure to add the ".key" file extension, otherwise it won't work.

Re: Animations??????

Don't forget gmax! :D
It's a free program like 3ds max (by the same company), and can be found here: http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax
It takes a bit to get going, but it's worth it. I found it easier to learn than milkshape. Of course, I've been using gmax for 5 years now

Re: Actors with targas bug

Static entity proxy's if memory serves me correctly. It also only seems to happen if the polygon being obscured is part of the same actor.

Changing the savegame directory?

Is it possible to have Reality factory save to a different directory than the current default one? For example: The game runs off a disc and since cds are read-only it needs to save somewhere other than Reality Factory's root directory.

Actors with targas bug

When targas are added using equity, the result is a face that acts like a regular face. In other words, the plane clips whatever is behind it. Would be nice if it was fixed ^.^

Re: How many pawns, destroyable barrels and stuff

I don't think anyone has yet figured out the maximum amount of pawns and stuff that RF can handle. You just have to try it out and see if it works. I suggest that you get NeverwinterNights II, it is low poly, looks great and is third person. Oh, and btw, you really should have your textures 256x256....

Lolomgwtfdiaryqueenlolomgbbtheq, Lolomgwtfdiaryqueenlolomgbbtheq (I can say that in one breath)

Set up the variable much like the health is set up in the "player.ini" file and the "hud.ini" file, and have a pawn make the variable decrease by one every second.

Re: Two questions...

For a countdown timer, you would need to create a variable for the player, have a pawn alter the variable, and use the hud.ini to draw the variable. :D
