Re: Good IDE/Text Editor Anyone?

LOL.

When I saw this topic I was going to suggest Notepad++.

I guess I made the right choice in text editors.

Re: importing .map s into RF edit

Do you mean the level editor, RFeditPro (or something named like that?)

If that's the case, then yes you can. I did it yesterday with a terrain map I made.

Re: Notepad ++

It's one of my favorite programs. I use it for all my coding...and what's nice, it's got a user setting allowing you to create markers for your own languages. :)

Nice work, Allanon.

Thanks for helping out with that. I was kinda lost with Turbo Squid and what needed to be done. :)

Re: Virgil 3ds?

I was just going to ask about OBJ files cause for some of my models not in Milkshape3d I wondered if we could import in to that format. :D

Re: Can some body provide this

If you have the exact model I can attempt to convert it though I'll need a copy of the model. Please note attempt to convert it. I'm lousy at boning models so if it's not boned it may take a little more work to get it right. Send me an email at: Morg223 AT jtworld DOT net and we can discuss more of ...

Re: Virgil 3ds?

Waiting impatiently, Bernie. I really love this program! I'm in the process of designing a tutorial for it, just want to get more familiar with it.

Re: Virgil 3ds?

What I did for Virgil's is use Equity to decompile the actor then import the .bdy from the file to see what it looked like inside...though if this is any help I don't know. :)

Re: Can some body provide this

My time here at RF isn't long, but like many people, the search for models is a long, tedious, and sometimes futile mission. My questions are: 1. Do you have this model? If you do, I'd need it to convert to an .act file. 2. If you need the model made, then you're going to need somebody who has exper...

Will that mean there will be a new release of RF when the new Genesis 3d editor comes down?

Re: Please one of you nice guys/girls help

Bernie,

Thanks! As I said in the posts, I'm still newbie when it comes to RF in general. I never knew the program existed.

I'm going to download a copy and start working with it. Maybe write a tutorial too. :D

Curiosity, why isn't it included in the RF release in the tools directory?
