Re: Reality Factory as a Retro Game Creator
It still works up to Direct X 9 and look at S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl, that was DX9 if Im not mistaken. That was the moodiest game out there at the time and there are far too few like that. DX9 is still visually viable and Reality Factory, to my knowledge hasn't been pushed to its limits ye...

Re: IsKeyNotDown?
Negation should do the trick. In Simkin it's as follows, if I remember correctly:
or
Code: Select all
if(not IsKeyDown(What ever key))
Code: Select all
if(IsKeyDown(What ever key) = false)

Re: Where is everyone?
Been doing fine, although pretty busy with my studies and work. I've landed a job at one of the fastest growing software companies in Finland. Too bad this all takes up the precious free time I could be using to work on my projects. I'm not a Christmas-person, but that doesn't keep me from looking f...

Re: Where is everyone?
There's some stuff in our devblog, but nobody has bothered to post news in almost two years. Unfortunately, that's pretty much all I can give you, the rest of the stuff is a huge work in progress.Wraps wrote:and juutis---i'd love to see some stuff on that steampunk rpg of yers.

Re: Where is everyone?
I think RF2 might be behind the times before it even had a start I have to agree. AndyCR's RF2 was just RF with a modern graphics engine as far as I can remember. However, I think paradoxnj's vision of RF2 would be well worth implementing. I love the idea of a game engine that would be as easy to g...

Talk about a blast from the past! Nice to see you again, Zenbudha. I have no idea if you even remember me, but I sure remember you. Oh, the nostalgia.
I'm not even gonna try to contribute - just stopping by to say hi.

Re: Juutis' game thread!!! (Nirhis)
No news on this front, I'm afraid. I haven't worked on any project in ages.
Nice reminder, though. I uploaded the demo game to a more permanent place:

Re: Juutis' game thread!!! (Nirhis)
Calling it the M11 was a conscious decision. For some reason I didn't want the guns to have their real names. Besides, most people that know a bit about guns will recognize it anyway, just by looking at it.

I uploaded the Nirhis demo game to Mediafire as a temporary solution:

I'll start looking for a more permanent place to store the file.

Juutis' Submission
I found no info about how to submit my contest entry, so I'm just gonna post it here. Say hello to Keera, the legendary space ninja! Armed with a retractable blade mounted on her right arm, she's adept at all kinds of close combat, but also always carries a pistol, just in case. I didn't quite have ...

Re: RF2 Mascot Modelling Contest (Extended)
I'm soon done texturing. Probably won't have time to rig and animate it properly, though.

I'm working on a little something too. Still got a lot of work to do, though, so I may not make it in time.
