thanx man...I actually started 5 years ago with RF! and then moved to Quake 2 Evolved and Now my own Quake 3 engine! After I finish my first Chronicle of this game I plan to write my own engine for the next Chronicle with maybe Ogre! I will try to migrate my code used in my Quake 3 engine to Ogre ...

Hey as for a world builder gtk radiant 1.5 and q3map2 are now opensource!!! You could alter radiant to work with RF entitys and map format and such and you could alter q3map2 to compile the type of bsp that andy cr is planning on using!
I would suggest using a Q3 based bsp and jus altering it a bit ...

Yes GD1 I understand what you said and I agree....I was just trying to explane it in a way that noobs to the subject could understand...
In the way of making a flat surface look complex normal and specular mapping are alike...Paralax is better looking and more advanced but still....they do the same ...
