Yes I began with a very old version of Xreal. I have Modified it greatly. Look at its features compaired to Tr3B's Xreal. It has FULL SP support that blends FPS action with RPG events and dialogue and story!

Just as long as you plan on making a .map to rf2 bsp compiler...ill be happy...I MUST use Radiant! all i need is rf2 to be able to compile a quake 3 .map (or doom 3) into rf2's bsp format!

Hey as for a world builder gtk radiant 1.5 and q3map2 are now opensource!!! You could alter radiant to work with RF entitys and map format and such and you could alter q3map2 to compile the type of bsp that andy cr is planning on using! I would suggest using a Q3 based bsp and jus altering it a bit ...

Yes GD1 I understand what you said and I agree....I was just trying to explane it in a way that noobs to the subject could understand... In the way of making a flat surface look complex normal and specular mapping are alike...Paralax is better looking and more advanced but still....they do the same ...

umm ok...to clear terms up for ya all...paralax and normal mapping are what the engine does to the texture to give a flat surface that realistic bumpy look! It has nothing (or not much) to do with the shinyness! Paralax mapping is an updated version of normal mapping. Specular mapping is a greyscale...
