Yes the Glow effect is a foglight. Same color as the light, radius something 30-50, intensity (brightness???) around 500. I have tried coronas (not my thing... too pixelated... and weird how they appear and dissapear...) and Flipbooks. Flipbooks are nice for a glow effect too, but not as nice as a F...

Hey guys. I have uploaded a few new screens of a room and a further hallway. Framerate has a little bit increased since i use a farclipplane :-) Foglights are really hell for the FR. But they look sooooo beatyfuuul... I have made a few tests using hints and areas, and they seem to work nice. But i h...

Wow guys! I didnt think of such a response! Thank you so much! It does mean a lot for me!!! :D :D :D This is an early state for the level and i have so much more in mind! As some of you mentioned, the frame rate is a little bit low. I use BSP brushes for walls and rooms. Everything else (pipes, stru...

Depends on what you want... Basically you need a sealed level with no holes to the "empty space" around. Then you have to add a Player Start Entity, a Player Setup Entity and a Enviroment Entity. All This can be done in the Leveleditor like RF Edit Pro. (included in the download package) I...

Hmmm

I think you are right.
Entities outside of a sealed level may be a "do not"
The Same for the the spacebox...

I thought of that, but wanted to know what you guys think about it...

anyway it was just an idea...

Hmmm. i am thinking about this, too, as i plan something similar... I ask myself if this would be possible and practical: If we could script the player in that way, that the "Spacebox", the box, wich determines the borders of the space (and seals your level so it is absolutely necessary) m...

The Liftbelt Entity works fine as hike posted...

But it does not behave like i intended.
I need more realistic flying behavior like a plane would do...

I will see, if i can script something...
(The firts time i really try, but... you have to start somewhere... :D :D :D

OK, i experimented with SEPs and SEMs. I following things figured out: Collision works great on SEMs I managed to do collision quite nice on SEPs. I uses the same mesh as a SEM, and set the transparency to full. so the SEM is not visible, and does the collision for the SEP. SEMs can recieve light fr...

What about mapping?
cann both Entities (SEP and SEM) have normal mapping Specular mapping etc...?

Do the both cast shadows on BSP geometry? I have made a quick test, and i cant get any shadows to work...

strange... or reality :?

Thanks again...
