Motion Names in Gmax?

Hi. I don't understand the process of naming actor motions in Gmax. Could someone walk me through the process of creating an animated actor in Gmax with multiple motions?

Yessir, you can. :) Just export your work in NTGT to a .map file and you can open it with the RF editors and do whatever else you want done to it.

Actually no. You can export geometry from Worldcraft to RF without any additional files. An *.FGD file is, like I said, a Worldcraft entity data file. It is indeed meant as I said it was. But I suppose you don't have it then? Anybody?

Sure. An .FGD is the type of file Worldcraft uses to define it's entity data. For example, an "RF.FGD" (which apparently exists) would allow you to place the EnvironmentSetup, StaticMesh, PlayerStart, etc. entities in Worldcraft itself, without needing to export your level to rfedit to do ...

RF.FGD?

Hi. I read about an "RF.FGD" file for Worldcraft. This interested me greatly, as I could theoretically use Worldcraft as my only editor without even having to go through rfedit or rfeditpro if I had this file. Does anyone have it or know were I can get it?

Ok, thanks. So is this sample car mountable, or has that not been done like LtForce said?

Vehicles?

Hi. I've searched the forums but can't find what I'm looking for. How exactly is vehicle support handled in RF? Are they entities? Do I have to have a certain script? Just how do vehicles work?

"i only use them for finishing the levels, i.e entities, textures, i use WC it's much better" Ya, thats what I was going to do. But it turns out that rfedit really doesn't seem to suffer from the same problem, and I am now using it as my primary editor. It's just simpler to manage content ...

Well actually, I didn't notice any difference (functionality-wise) between rfedit and rfeditpro. Are there any important differences I should know about?

No no, that wasn't confusing, and thanks for the help! :D I'll try some of your suggestions, though I think I may have solved the problem anyhow. I just tried out rfedit from the downloads section, and it performs much better. But I'll keep your advice in mind if I ever have a similar problem again....

RFeditPro Response Time

I'm having a problem with rfeditpro. As my level is getting bigger, the response time (ie. the time it takes to process a geometry resize command) is getting slower and slower. Its at the point where I have to wait almost 2 MINUTES just to make a tiny geometry adjustment. That is insane. The level i...
