Re: 2D, localizations, .exe?

I didn't want to create yet another topic asking the same questions, but since I've come to find out that RF has been updated some time ago, I figured I would ask anyway: How hard would it be to implement 2D sprite support? I think this can also possibly reduce some lag in the game, depending how th...

Re: Dark Crypt (Isometric Dungeon)

I think a dungeon crawler doesn't really need high-tech graphics in order to be good. As long as the immersion is right and the gameplay flows naturally.

It would be sad to end RF2 like this. It has a lot of potential.

Re: Medieval City Mega Pack [3D] - 1 Week!

I know you guys are just trying to make a few bucks with these modelpacks, but to me it seems like a really backwards process to purchase stock models for your game instead of customising a model to fit the atmosphere of your game.

Re: 3D engines

We're now going to use CryEngine 3 for our game, since they released it for free (for non commercial games).
Leadwerks is also pretty nice, but you have to pay 200 dollars per license, which is a little too much when you're working with a team.

That actually looks like a fun game mechanic. They should release it on consoles too, because consoles can always use more editors.

Re: 3D engines

We've been looking into Leadwerks engine. Did you guys have a look at that? If so, what do you think of it?

I've seen reviews of it, but they are very mixed, hence why I'm curious.

Re: A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away...

I have UDK on my harddrive. Its an amazing looking engine, and I really enjoy the WYSIWYG-interface in the editor, which a lot of modern engines go for these days. That said, I could only edit and run UDK when I turned off most of the shaders, and other bells and whistles. Untill I get a NASA PC, I ...

Also, I just realised that I probably posted that topic in the wrong section. Sorry RF admins!

Night of Legacy - people wanted!

Hello there, If you've read the forums lately, you might have seen a couple of posts by me and EvilDraggie. In our spare time, we are working on a ambitious indie game project using RF. Its going to be a first person game, with strong emphasis on survival and horror atmosphere. Think of Amnesia: The...
