yeah it's been a while since i fooled with it. stdafx might be in the rf source but it calls on stuff from mfc. i think cstring is defined in one of those includes (afxwin? something like that). so every occurance = error. i'll try to check out the vid tonight...

woah! that'd be cool. what's the movie cover - actually compiling a mfc app with express? i'm on my mac right now and don't have a wmv player on it. what were the errors? *couldn't find stdafx* is a sure sign it's not liking the mfc issue. [edit posted at the same time as fede. does this cover expre...

looks good zen. a tip that may help (or not) for stuff like the saw blades is if you had used 22.5 degrees instead of 20. dupe your first blade then rotate it 180 and position it. flatten the two, dupe, rotate 90 and position. dupe/rotate the 4 at 45 degrees. flatten. now you only have one more rota...

really just a *bump* for someone who knows better.

don't know if this is the case but rf won't compile with any free version. you need one of the pro versions in order to get the mfc and atl libraries.

either you got happy on the add item button without knowing it or... when you shift+drag in a 2d window with no tool selected (move, resize etc), it will create a duplicate brush. if your snap is at 32 say, and you shift+drag a brush just a few texels, it could create a duplicate that snaps back to ...

definitely working in a tool that's comfortable helps workflow. besides rfeditpro i've used truespace, blender, milkshape and a few others for levels. you can use whatever you want as long as you can get a map or 3ds out and it's bsp safe. i like to work in rf mostly though. textures and lighting st...

you can use anything you want to build levels as long as it exports .map or .3ds (and you're bsp compliant which WED is). for .3ds you need the 3ds2map utility. not 100% sure but i seem to remember that if your txl and your wad match exaclty (use the same images), rf might hold the textures. if not,...
