Re: GEditPro cannot find default *.txl
After reading here and doing some of my own work, I've decided to post the following work around which seems to work better. The issue seems to be that every reality factory file is located in a realityfactory folder but rfeditpro doesn't include this folder when looking for the needed .txl files ...

Interesting Way of Creating MP3s
I got a VOIP phone number that can be dialed via any landline phone. To test it, I called it using my cellphone. I left myself a voicemail. When I checked my email that I had used to set up the VOIP account, I had an email stating I had received a voicemail. Well, it had an .mp3 file that was my ...

Inside of RFEditPro, you'll find a tab that says TEMPLATES by the left edge of the screen. Select that tab, and you should see a bunch of shapes. Below those shapes, you'll see a drop-down menu. In that list you'll see the PLAYER SETUP and the PLAYER START entities. Place those in your level. They ...

Until the editor comes out, I'll tell you what I did to create my menu. You can check your changes by running the demo game as often as you need. I recommend doing it after nearly every change until you have a better understanding of what changes will affect what portion of the screen.

I imagine it would be tough to try and do an entire level like this, but it could be good for an acid-trip or dream sequence type of environment. Everywhere you walk, it feels like the walls are moving in on you.
You could probably make the walls clippable and put a teleport entity in and attach it ...

Actor's gun floats away
This is a weird one. When I run a level, the gun immediately starts floating away from the actor. I was exploring some of the programs included with RF in the Tools folder. Specifically the Actor Skin Replacer. I don't know what I was doing with the program (that's how I learn), but I tried to open ...

Scott, you kick butt. That texture was a throw-together for a level experiment based on an outer-space battle. I was tinkering around with a sphere-shaped level (kept crashing, comp can't handle spheres that are nearly 4000 texels) and made that texture in about 2 minutes in GIMP. I'll take that ...
