Re: Where is everyone?
Sad to see this forum die. First time I joined up, I was in middle school. Now I'm in college. Had some good times here, really got me started in game dev.
Pretty sure I still have the most posts on the forum though.

Re: Can someone help me scripting movies?
you need to use triggers and scripts.
create a pawn for the camera (pawn should be invisble), then create waypoints for the camera to move along. when the camera reaches a certain point, activate a trigger to play the animations for the pawns.
script commands are in the help files.

Re: Changing the time between footsteps
footstep sounds are basically the footstep sound looped, with no wait time. you need to add in silence to the actual wave.

The nearest one of those is 10 miles away, and the warp core had an antimatter leak and cracked delithium crystals, so it had to be ejected. Only on impulse engines now. But if the collective will wait long enough someone will eventually build one within walking distance. *edited for redundant quot...

I believe max applies a random colour (material) to each new object, which is why you see multi-coloured models when they're being made. Most programs just colour them grey, such as milkshape. If a model has a preexisting material attached to it but max can't find the texture file for it, it will s...
