i don't believe this

what is with this community as of late? from what i recall, it says 'author: gekido design group' because that is my username on that site and that's how you submit info to that site. we do not offer reality factory for sale any more - how many times do i have to say that? the RF license allows ANYO...

anim8or

I haven't used anim8or personally - but if it can export to FBX, then you'll be able to use it for 3d animations. almost every 3d modeling package can be used for static 3d models - we support a pretty wide range of formats. almost every major image format is supported as well, from png, to tga, to ...

it was requested by several parties

QoD had a request to delete the thread, which I agreed with. It was better to delete the entire thread - there was too much confidential information there that should have never been posted online. If anyone has ANY questions or comments that they would like to actually communicate about in a civili...

We will be posting release dates & other news very soon

Things are down to the final crunch now - we're going to be making a big announcement on or around Dec 1. We have the task list down to the final page of items and the programmers are ripping through them as quick as they can. As well, we've started work on a number of demo games that will ship with...

To Voltare

This is a side note specifically to Voltare & any RF Pro users out there: We will be sending out an email shortly with details about a private Beta of Beyond Virtual that all RF Pro users will be able to access in the next few weeks. I will send you a personal note as a followup as well to address y...

more test screens

We will be releasing some 'official' screenshots in the next week, but here are a few other shots of the test environment that i've been developing. The lighting in these shots isn't perfect, but they do show off some of the potential that BV has... note, again there is no normal or specular mapping...

the main issue is bandwidth

i agree completely that the resources area of the old forum was the most useful for users looking to become familiar with the engine. i just added a new 'tutorials' links section to the main rf.ca site and will add in your main downloads / resources links so users can find the content hopefully. i a...

RF Blog site FYI

FYI I've switched the realityfactory.ca site to a new 'blog' type of site system in order to try and increase the regularity of news postings & info provided there. Seeing as I don't have enough time to update the site, hopefully this will motivate the community to begin posting news & updates to th...

I'll bet out of debug mode and on the ground with proper LOD and optimization of the level. Everything polywise could be buffed up even more. Yes indeed, this is hardly a 'finished' game - there hasn't been any optimization done at all - this is just me dropping some prefab models into an environme...

skinnable GUI

oh, another thing to point out - the whole 'gui' that is shown in the screenshots is a new feature - you can define your entire GUI for your game via a simple INI file - the entire menu structure, all gui objects etc are defined by a simple 'style' definition sheet and is completely skinnable. every...

Beyond Virtual updates

Hello everyone, I haven't been around much lately due to the sheer amount of work that has come onto my plate recently. GDGi have gone from 2 employees & contractors to 9 fulltime employees & quite a few contractors in the past 3 months which is quite a bit from the sheer organizing & daily workload...

vexator is 'one of our own'

Vexator is a long-time RF user from way back - he's since moved onto become one of the lead developers using OGRE - VX is his personal pet project - an 'RF style' game creation system...not sure what his goals are for it, but it's good to see him making progress... the biggest thing to note about th...
