I've tried. But I really need a good tutorial series, that's easy to understand, for the complete unity(3) beginner, that will teach me about how to use unity and make games with it, so that I won't need to be guided by a tutorial and still be able to make any game I want, of any genere.

Please tell me where you are learning from that is very good and I'm not learning how to do that very well at all. Finding online tutorials is tough, I prefer a series of tutorials mixed together That way I'll learn everything I need to know.

Are you using a different model than the .pdf file lists? Also, do you have a 3rd person actor for the model? Don't think that matters for this problem but if you don't have a 3rd person actor than the game will crash/throw you an error when you die.

I'm going to guess no. Reality Factory uses .bsp files and Game Maker probably uses it's own files. Plus the RF .bsp is read by RF in a specific way.
