Re: Two Game Ideas come to mind...

-- At least 3rd person view. No first person camera view. The player must be familiar with his/her character. I don't completely agree. In First Person the part of the level you see is much smaller. In Half life and Half life 2 (which have elements of Horror, but aren't really Horror games but more...

Re: DM's Game : Apocalyptic Vision

what about this?

you then see that more are infected with the same disease. you want to know what was wrong with the drugs so you go back to where you stole them. there you get to know something that makes you want to take revenge.

dunno

Hitman 2

Hi, guys. I have a small question for you. I recently found out about the Hitman series, which seemed quite interesting, because of the open way with which you can eliminate your targets. So I decided to download the demo of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. Why not 3 or 4? I can't run 4 and not much infor...

Re: Looking for work (Scripting, UI, General Design)

@matte- Definitely! Thank you :) I may be doing it wrong but I replied to your PM's and I dont think they are getting through. Trust me, Im not ignoring you! It could be an error on my part. If youve skinned in SOURCE, as in the HalfLife2 series, Ill send you the mutant model, but after integrating...

Re: Looking for work (Scripting, UI, General Design)

I could try out being your texture artist, it would be my first try (but I've done skinning for SOURCE engine before). Just let me know something if you're interested in my help. (I also PM_ed to you guys a while ago) Matte PS I own photoshop, GIMP, and some other graphics editing tools so that shou...

Sam&Max-like game?

I really liked the Sam&Max episode Abe Lincoln must die (FREE! WTF! :D), because of the humor and simply amazing graphics. (Yes I am one of these people who prefer style over Shader 3978*10^33.0). How hard would it be and would it be possible to create an adventure of this style? I guess it would re...

Re: Looking for work (Scripting, UI, General Design)

Amazing concept art of the infected maintenance working there! After reading all this, I'm getting excited :D. I'm not really good at it and I CERTAINLY don't want to steal your topic, Jay, but if you need someone for the smaller things (menu or crosshair; I'm also quite good at creating levels in m...

c++ variables

Hi, I was trying to get a very little program to ask for your name, and then write it down. The problem is that I didn't know what variable to use, since my tutorial only says the following three things: int stores numbers without decimals char stores one character float stores numbers with decimals...

Moving Floor

Is it possible to create a floor that goes up at a certain rate with maybe Moving Platforms?
What this floor needs to do is go up X metres every Y seconds, or just go up X metres within Y seconds all the time. When you touch this floor, you're a dead guy.
Is this possible?

How long?

  • 15 levels
  • A Collecting game: "Eat-'em-up"
  • Moving platforms (up-down-right-left)
  • Parachutes
  • Orbs that follow a certain path and kill you when touched
  • One person
  • No money
How long will this take?

Sorry for the wrong forum, didn't know where to put it.

Re: Google Chrome

Hmm. Little mistake by Google?

I have watched a video of Apple's Safari, and noticed that pretty much all features we have in Chrome are also in Safari.
When I downloaded some file from InstantAction, it even said, "Restart Safari and get playing!".

Coincidence?
You tell me.
