Re: Dell laptop or Asus EEE?

Flash memory is a fundamental opposite of RAM. RAM is volatile, meaning that it will not hold data unless it is constantly powered. Flash memory, on the other hand, is non-volatile, so it will hold data even after you unplug (for lack of a better word) it. USB thumb drives, SD cards, and the non-har...

Re: Dell laptop or Asus EEE?

Oh -
Newer models have added the option of Windows XP operating system and traditional hard disk drives.
I guess they do make them with Windows.

Re: Dell laptop or Asus EEE?

Are you looking to run RF on it, or any of your windows programs?
I think most Eee PCs run Xandros Linux... so unless you're up for fiddling around with WINe alot, then I would stray away from it.

Re: RF2 Project: Whispers in the darkness

Well, after you record your voice you should probably add some reverb and maybe some delay... like this - http://ryan.gowen.googlepages.com/hauntedwhispersv2.wav Maybe not that much reverb, but you get the idea. Really creates an ethereal, ghosty feel. Just a suggestion. Oh, and FYI those aren't act...

Re: RF2 Project: Whispers in the darkness

Shouldn't you just stick to one project? First it was Terra Trooper, then it was Terra Trooper 2, now it's this?
I don't mean to be rude, but you could probably get more done if you just focus on one project, rather than skipping around.

Re: CALGARI True space 7.6 now FREE

Does anyone actually use truespace? If so please post a simple animated cob file so we can build a converter into equity thanks. I hate truespace as much as I hate blender. The GUI is just as bad and just as hard to get your head around. me I now use Deled 3d lite It also comes with a .mesh plugin ...

Re: 3D animation

Blender? I can't imagine anyone using that, the interface is so bad. It takes 3 weeks to learn how to make a simple box. Seriously though I am looking for a simple model or two made from blender in .obj format to try out in the upcoming release of Equity. The *.obj format is incorrectly saved...

Re: 3D animation

Warning: Rant Alert! *sirens* aparently we are learning bryce too... that still doesn't thrill me For animation? You have GOT to be kidding me. Bryce's animation system is so janky it would take days of tweaking to get anything good out of it. Don't get me wrong - there's nothing bad about keyframe...

Re: 3D animation

They're using Sketchup to teach animation? Seriously? Maybe I'm just being naive here, but that's like teaching somebody how to drive by giving them a moped. If you're looking into professional animation, I would suggest something else. I'm pretty sure Sketchup doesn't have more advanced controls li...
