Re: Need a team for a Zoid/mech-ish game
What modeling program do you use? Google for tutorials on animating with it.

Re: Need a team for a Zoid/mech-ish game
You might get a scripter interested, but I suggest you learn to do the art side of things yourself. You've got modeling down, now you need to learn animation and texturing. Sounds will be best found on the internet or made yourself. As for voice acting, you may get several people for that when you'v...

Re: A return to what I love.
RF2 is going to have a functional release in may; however, it won't be near as noob-friendly on the first release as RF1.

Re: Suggestions on tools and quality?
The best free choice is blender 3d, but it has a slightly steep learning curve. The other free options are wings 3d, softimage, truespace and anim8or.

Re: Who is left here with us at RF?
\o I don't remember you heh. There's a few oldies pottering around, and a few new people, but things have really slowed down. As for news, bernie and terry have gone off and made their own game engine or something instead of being humble and helping with RF2, which pisses me off big time. That's abo...

Re: Release Question
What QoD and Paradox have been saying about users needing scripting is very important. There are several game design programs out there, some free, that require no programming OR scripting. And they're crap. They produce crap games. Sure, the engine is graphically powerful enough, but you can't make...

Re: Release Question
Release it. I can't think of a reason not too. However, don't start an advertising campaign until it's more user-friendly.
Is there no way you and bernie and terry and maybe QoD could all work together on this?

Re: Moving to the mouse
I know that RF can have the cursor changed so that it's not fixed to the center, lemme find the topic...
Hmm, best I can find is SCURF: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2071 but i'm sure there was a better topic about RTS games.

Re: 50 materials of 2,48k
Why are you using 50 textures for a small bit of terrain, anyway? You shouldn't need anywhere near that many to texture it and make it look good.
