If I really haul but i may be able to put together a very basic demo together so you have something to kill. Im warnig you though, it will probably be better in may when I have some more scripting done.

Okay, havent been posting for a while and I should give an explanation. My computer hard drive got all screwed up and I've lost everything for the game. I have decided to make a DooM fan game based on the first episode of the first doom. I have the original Demo and everything. I even have the music in midi format. More details to follow...

I know it sucks, I just had to finish the demo menu. Im not giving up on it, per say, just sepping down for a while. So far, I have the music for the game in MIDI form and I have discovered I can't remake the the original main menu. Just out of curiosity, will I be able to rebuild the original HUD or will I have to make a new one?
Can I reuse the default weapons from the RF demo? If so the Chaingun and shotgun is covered. I Have been experimenting with modeling and have so far managed to model a crappy hourglass. I will upload more info when I have some more free time.

so far I have been looking at the wall textures and the maps of the levels. It would be nice if I could get an original copy of the game. Unfortunately, DooM is not easily obtained.

Thanks for the info. I'll take a look. In other news, I have worked out that I will be starting with doing the maps because I just want to get the easyest part of the job done first. The biggest problem I forsee will be modeling because I have no modeling tools. Until I finish level 1, there will be few updates. Till next time...
