Well, I don't mean to be rude, but that's kinda generic story for games, cartoons and movies...

No...it's the problem of posting a design in an open forum. It is a typical RPG storyline, but this is a little too coincidental. Unless Vandal and I share the same mind...

ok wait let me tell u the story more in detail you see the Jinn are more of an uncontrollable weapon
And an immortal being known as KALYPSO releases them to try to rule the world until he gets possessed by the jinn and turns even more evil and along the story of the game u kill him but he possess you.Not knowing this and thinking that the jinn are gone you live some time in peace until you start having strange dreams and you eventually can transform into your dopple-ganger which i havent thought of a name yet and thats how far i got....Any suggestions are always welcome... :D

I agree with Juutis here as that's one of my favorite games (Baldur's Gate 2 that is).

Yes, I saw what you wrote but it really sounds like BG2. Of course, if you have never ever even heard about BG it's not your fault. I've actually come across this problem many times myself, too. A while back I tried to think of something very original, and came up with a level where you are on a moving train and a rocket launcher that can launch multiple rockets at a time. Not like in UT, though. Then, a couple of weeks later I played Soldier of Fortune for the first time in my life and realized that it had BOTH of my revolutionary ideas. The rocket launcher in SoF is almost identical to what I came up with. The world is a strange place...

Anyway, I'm only saying this because even if you, and me and the forum users know that the ideas are your very own, there are still people that are gonna see the similarities and consider your game as a BG2 ripoff.

Don't want to dissapoint you but... Cliché!! But yeah, every RPG story is pretty predictable so good luck!
