Billboards don't use backfaces they always face the player.

Sorry, I didn't know that. I've tried that FacePlayer Pawns you call billboards, but then I get lower FPS, because it has to face every single pawn to player every single frame. It's much better to use pawns that are staying in one place :)

Foliage entity is what you should be using for bushes. No wonder your fps goes right down if you are using pawns.

I don't wanna use foliage, because it uses both X and Y rotation. I'm gonna stick with MOG's idea :)

I decided to make a new terrain as I found better way to do this. I can make megahyperultra big terrains if I want. I just model them poly-by-poly, it's much better way to make it like this. My new terrain is only 650 polygons 'til now. Some feedback would be highly appreciated ;)

BTW. I'm having a little problem with that house. When I stand near the doorway, I can see skybox through my terrain
Edit: Lighting isn't correct there yet.

Left side is the starting point. BTW if you are down there, that "wall" really looks like a hill ;)

nice.

Not sure RE the skybox thing, but I had a similar happen to me. I never got around to asking because after I put a chair (made out of brushes) near it the problem went away.

WTF, then I should put a chair infront of every window, right? Just kidding. I'm going to change skybox too, I just had to place there something.

I guess you're using a StaticMesh entity for the terrain? If that's the case what is the value of the VisCheckLevel?

You'll probably have to set it to 0. The visibility test is not conservative.

As you are all aware I have no idea what I am doing. The point of mentioning it is that I don't use a skybox but your image looked just like the problem I had which magically resolved itself when I put a chair there.

More screenshots. This is the first level. In this map you have to be as quiet as possible. If any guard spots you, the alarm starts and you fail your mission.
