My Father had a bike accident! :-(

Post by wackedoutbiker » Thu Jun 14, 2007 10:28 pm

Yes, it is true...he is currently unconscious and sedated on an ICU in a nearby hospital. Not sure if it was hit and run, falling off or whatnot, but he at least has a stable condition.

It may take several months for him to fully recover, if possible. When my mom called, I thought it was a bad joke. But this is dead serious, considering the head injuries sustained even with a helmet. He might not be with us if he didn't have one.

Damn,

So sorry about your dad. I pray he will be ok.

I'll keep him in my prayers :)

Thanks Ryan.

If it turns out to be hit and run, the guy who did it ought to be either shot to death or in prison showers (yes, you know what I mean).

Actually, he's stable, but he looks pretty damned awful right now.

He might not ever be the same.

The only hit and run I approve of is guerrilla warfare.

I'm sorry to hear that. Its bad enough if its just a plain accident, but hit and run is just plain stupid. If the other person wasn't responsible for his actions, he shouldn't be allowed on the road. My dad was seriously injured 10 years ago, guy going 70 and hit him from the side and now he has a broken neck. So I know how injuries like this effect your life, and I will be praying for you, and your dads quick recovery.

Yes, he's still the same, but stable. He's even looking a little better now...

I don't like to talk about it much but I can assure you he's on a slow path to recovery.
