what I did while i was away...

Post by psYco » Wed Jan 16, 2008 10:32 pm

I made a game, what a surprise :)

It spawned from meeting a 3D designer and flash programmer on my work experience. Anyway its FINALLY done and I thawt I might as well post it up here, (since I know you are obviously all desperate to know what I was doing being so quite  ) nah just kidding, but hey im advertising it everywhere.

Its a point and click adventure game using 3D graphics
here's a screen shot to get you in the mood so to speak,
(screen shot creative commons copyright to me)
Image

and here is the game, its a flash game and free to play, http://www.robotjam.com/games/synapsis (just for the record as Im sure some of you know my name is jason)

I did 3D artwork mainly and ended up getting 50% of the profit, which was nice since weve sold it to addicting games (owned by MTV) as well as about 9 other sites,
it was also reviewed here> http://jayisgames.com/archives/2008/01/synapsis.php

glad you guys like it :D

ok first there is a walkthrough at the same link as the review (if you get stuck)

I have made £250 so far. (advertising revenue is picking up tho since weve had like 250 000 plays in the first 7 days [not THAT many i know but hey im super proud :D])

the sequel is on the way.

the red button story is in a coma and I may or may not revive it, probably not, I have started a new project with the same concept but basically the whole game is based in a single room and so is easier to handle (trbs was got WAY more complicated than it should have and I ran away with myself... i wont let this happen again.)

thanks again for the possitive input. :)

Brilliant... lives up to your name. Very bizzare, took a lot of working out. Very good puzzles. Looking forward to the sequel.

:( I can't play it on my pc! I can't get past the first screen after the load screen. I have the latest flash and am running the latest version of Firefox.

Beautiful work, psyco. First rate and totally professional!! I stink at puzzle solving, so I haven't gotten too much done yet, but I'll keep working at it.

Woah, nice game pysco,

This is a very good game, Amazing visuals and great puzzles. I love these types of games, which aspect of the game did you create, art, programming, sound, interactivity....all of it?

haven't played it entirely though because .....

I'm kinda stuck, I got the brain for the portal and im not sure what to do next? Getting the brain took me a while but i figured out the sequence eventually.
I have a cellphone, a cross, and a circle thing, and a peice of paper,
could you give me a hint as what to do next? I haven't managed to do anything in the spirit room yet?

I have also noticed a bug if the robot runs for a period of time his eye gets out of sync with the rest of him.

Overall very well executed, Amazing game, great puzzle overall very VERY nice work.
two thumbs way up!
