this is a link for Acid music very good professional editor, basically allows you to paint music along a bar and beatmatches perfectly!

it's not completly free, you get the professional editor for 30-day trial period then the tool limits itself to a FREE EVALUATION COPY, to be used for unlimited time, you only lose some of the options but you can still create music and save

can import .mpg, .wav, .mid, .ogg, + more as well as export to these formats as well

VERY GOOD! i use it all the time.

EDIT:[note it's 36MB so it's a pretty hefty download if you're on dial-up, but its worth it]

@spyrewolf my computers a 98 and that software says I need a newer version of windows

Psycle, really good free synthesizer program.

Audacity, free tracker program for post production effects and mixing. A must have.

Is there a free program that does 4 track recording like Cool Edit? I have a tutorial showing how to do it in Audacity, I think that's what he's talking about , but I haven't tried it.
