Make RF's Tools Take On The WindowsXP Look

Post by AndyCR » Sat Jan 14, 2006 3:06 pm

ever noticed how rfeditpro uses the old win98 style controls? simply unzip this file into your tools folder to fix that if you're running windows xp. to make them go back to normal (if you really want to) just delete all .manifest files from your tools folder (and only your tools folder!). if you open one, it's pretty easy to figure out how to make it work for other programs that insist on staying win98 too.

(sorry, the images decided to swap orders)

I don't know if I did something wrong, but I used the extraction wizard and extracted the files into the tools folder. is that right?

It seems something changed in the latest version of RF, and it changes the widgets on, for instance, IniEditor, but not, for instance, RFEditPro. Is that the case for you as well?

If so, you installed it fine, there's just some issue with the manifest files that make ome of them not work in 075. Not sure why.

you got it right on the dot. I thought it might be a problem with my computer. It isn't in the greatest of condition and this isn't the first time I've had similar problems with software I installed.
