Question about RF2 release

Post by Ryan »

I was wondering when RF2 is going to be released. I found the source code, and videos of RF2 on youtube, but i wondered if the source code was the release or if it's going to be released in a complete package. Is this source code just unzipped on top of the RF1 folder?

no rf1 & rf2 are totally different programs, right now to use the current source you have to compile it. But in 2010 we should have a official release.

before your time darkmaster.
im too busy now to play games unfortunatly
unfortunatly that also means i dont have time to learn python as it is :(
as i understand the current system that andy is implementing means that scripts will become universal, even if this is not the case i plan on getting another team member that does know python to help as i cant do everything in my current project :(
depending on how development goes i might find time near the end or while waiting for RF2 to learn python
only time will tell, hmm time somthing i wish i had control over, like stop, really i just need to get my ass in gear.

Which CVS do we use Andy. Is it the one you give the link to on your http://sourceforge.net/pm/?group_id=179085

or is it the new one Freepository . if its this one how do we get to down load the code.

The old RF2 is in CVS at that link, and the new RF2 is in SVN at that link.

half way through 2008 now, just wondering how the project is going compared to your original estimate, 2010, 18 months away, are you still aiming for this date or has it been delayed at all?

That's still the plan. It should be at least at basic functionality then.
