Howdy there.

I have a question. It may have already been addressed.

Can I compile RF2 demo on Linux and if so how?
I have Ubuntu Hardy

I think its possable ( dont quote me tho )
You need to get the sdk's for ogre, python boost, python and a some others.



P.S. Do you still have any of your old rf work hanging around. if you do how about posting them for us :D

Yes, RF2 will be able to run on Linux. If I remember correctly, AndyCR said he does most of his work on RF2 under Linux. Now on specific compiling instructions, I can't offer any help. But either way, RF2 will be completely cross platform being able to be compiled and run on Windows, Mac and Linux as I understand it.

It should work just fine! Just follow the windows instructions, but of course substitute CodeBlocks or your favorite C++ IDE for Visual Studio 2005 and build all dependencies from scratch using apt-get. done.

There's currently no Linux makefile. I use Windows now, but when I used Linux I used Eclipse and set up a project, pointing it to the appropriate paths. It worked fine last I checked, with the exception of the editor, which has an OpenGL issue I haven't managed to figure out (not exactly a GLX person).
