Real Gunshot sfx

Post by ChaotischerApostel »

Im new to RF and like what I see. Looks very easy and there seems to be alot of support. I would like to make a game but right now I just dont think I would get around to it. From just looking online I noticed that its hard to come by REAL gunshot sfx. I reagularly shoot and im trying to decided/buy something to record the sound with to give something to the community. As soon as I have something to record with I would be able to record...

...
AK47
SKS(same caliber as the AK but due to
barrel length and muzzel velocity the
sound does not carry as far[amzigly
an AK shot can be heard form 1/2 a
mile away] and a slitly different noise
may be recorded but I have not been
able to compaire the noise enough to
notice a differnce)
.22
12ga
Enfeild(dont remember what mark it is)
Side-Hammer Black Powder(unlikly due
to the fact that it is too tediuse to clean)

Sorry but I do not have a AR15. Far too expensive. And who knows sometimes someone else brings a gun and alow me to try it out. For exaple I shot someones High Piont the other day...nice gun!!!

Dont know if the pm went through I was having truble geting on earler. I can get you the pics in a week. Ill try to find a way to recorde the bolt cocking and ill see if I recorde the shot too. But if you have time I noticed that you are a modeler and I would relly like if you could make a model of that new gun the SCAR. If you have time or can get around to it.

BACK ON TOPIC!!!

it realy dpends on how much money you got.

you can get mp3 players built in with sound recorder and a mic.

if you have a laptop it may have built in mic, if not buy one and plug it in

in another post in this area theres discution of expensive hardware that you can use

the key to this is to get different areas of sound, get a recording half way down the shooting range if possible one at the end if your a good shot and dont shoot the equipment, it isnt just the shooting noise its how the echo works halfway down the range wich would be a person your shooting acros the road from someone else, the one at the end of the range would be a near miss wizzing sound if you get a close enough shot.
