Just a tip

If you're like me and you don't have any professional audio equipment, here's a quick tip for recording stuff with a cheap mic.
The microphones you buy for 10 dollars really suck, this we all know. You'll probably notice that if you accidentally yell into the mic too loud and it causes a lot of clipping and distortion in the final recording.
I've noticed that it helps a lot if you cover up the mic with a cloth or shirt. When I do that it really reduces the noise and works as a spit shield.
In fact, I believe a similar technique is used in pro recording studios, albeit much more elegant.
