Weird StaticMesh Problem.

Post by Gamemaker » Tue Sep 14, 2010 4:48 pm

Hi! My map has lots of corridors and I had no idea how to fill them with details. They were so solid-looking. So I modelled some plants and added them as StaticMeshes. Also I had an idea to place some windows on walls and add SkyBox. As I tried to make windows with Cut-Brushes, my StaticMeshes went glitchy-looking. Some polygons were gone so the pot of the plant looks like half-hidden. When I place the Cut-Brush on the wall inside the level, like next to doorway, everything is fine.

PS :!: The same thing happens even when I'm not using Cut-Brushes. I also tried to make the windows with solid boxes. Could there be anything to do with area-doors I'm using and RF not wanting to render this big hollow box (SkyBox) outside of level and starts being unnormal :?:

Thanks,
GameMaker :)

The staticmesh must not intersect transparent textured solid brushes or it gets clipped.

The cut-brush can even be like 2000texels away. No matter how far it is, or behind which walls it is
