It all depends on what formats AC3D will export.
NOTE: .3ds and .obj file formats do not support a skeleton. RF1 & Equity do not support weighted vertices.

Equity will import.
.act (mesh/skeleton/animation)
.bdy
3dsMax .nfo (mesh)
.mdl (halflife1 mesh/skeleton/animation)
.3ds
.obj
..ms3d mesh and skeleton only (no animation but can be imported and added via mot,smd or key files separately)
3dsmax .nfo (mesh/skeleton)
Ogre .mesh/skeleton (mesh/skeleton/animation)
Ogre .xml (mesh/skeleton/animation)
.smd (animation)
.mot (animation)
3dsmax .key (animation)

Equity will export
.act (mesh/skeleton/animation)
.bdy (via actor decompile)
.ms3d mesh/skeleton
.ms3d skeleton only
.mot (animation via ms3d export)
ogre .mesh/skeleton (mesh/skeleton animation)
ogre .xml mesh/skeleton (mesh skeleton/animation)

also Equity will also support the following texture files

.bmp
.jpg
.tga
.png
.dds
.tif
.tiff

Hope that helps you
Note that milkshape= $35 Ac3d=$89.95

lol. All you really should worry about in image files in .bmp, .jpg, .png, and .gif. That's pretty much all the image files you'll ever have to use in your life. Then again anything can happen right?

well with my software you can save it as anything like .obj, 3d studio, milkshapeACII, dive, DVS, inventor, Google earth KML, massive, povray, QuakeMD2, Renderman, STL acii..., Triangle, VMRL1, VMRL2, VMRL2proto, 3D Studio, 3DS ASE,
Collada, DXF, LDraw(lego), LightwaveLWO , Direct X, milkshapeACII(with skelation), ATI Graphics, Quake map, seclond live 1 and 2 and 3, SMF, Unreal tourment, and ac3d. I think i found something better than milkshape. anyways thats it. this is just under the export button for what i what i want to save it under

Yes megatop.

I am not sure what the propblem is as Bernie as explained all you have to do is Export you model from AC3D as .3ds or .obj and import the file into Equity and save the Actor that Equity makes thats it.

One point make sure the file you Export from AC3D is triangulated or it will fail RF1 actors are triangulated.
