Hi folks

I been having a clear out on my PC and found some stuff me and Bernie where working on while developing Equity.
I haven’t gone through it all yet but found a standalone version of the TxlEditor that’s in Equity.
Its roughly based on the Txl editor in Tools with a few modifications.

Our version can add texture formats and convert them for use in RF as a txl file.

bmp
tga
jpg
dds
pcx
tif
png

More can be added if requested.

As standard the TxlEditor can.

Add a Texture to a existing txl file.
Delete a Texture.
Export a single Texture.
Export all textures in a txl file.
Rename a Texture name in a txl file.
Create a new blank txl file ready to add textures.

Please note TxlEditor does not check for the power of 2 rule even though an RF texture library will except non power2 textures the application you use it in may not such as RFPro Editor so keep an eye on that if I have time I will add power2 checking later.

I cant find the help file but its pretty self explanatory.

As I go through my PC I could find more stuff we worked on if I do I will post and make available.

Thank you very much.At last we can add and remove textures without having to run word edit or remaking the txl from the beginning.

Thanks Guys

Thanks for the replies it encourages me to carry on with some more tools for RF.

I am working on a Motion Manager at the moment which is a bit like the TxlEditor but for motions
also near the end of the Development of Equity Me and Bernie where working on a Motion Editor for creating new and editing existing motions so will finish that as a stand alone application .

I was also thinking of adding a bit more functionality to the TxlEditor what I think would be of use would be for the TxlEditor to scoop a folder i.e. you could work on some textures in a folder with your favourite Art program then get TxlEditor to look at that folder then it would scan it and add all the Textures to a txl file if you see what I mean I think it would be useful.

I will post as I finish more things as I go along.

Cheers
Terry
