Equity10

Post by hgt_terry »

Hi

Its been awhile I was playing around with Equity and noticed some odd things while moving Actors around the rotation seems to carry on rotating mainly 0n win7 and win10.

So I have rewritten it to get over the problem and a new interface.

Also I want to realize the Ogre to Milkshape Export part Me and Bernie where working on but got bogged down for one reason and another and I will start that soon.

Equity10 is more of a Model Converter now but obviously includes the RF actor format to be loyal to its Origins and RF.

I am busy taking some of the functionality from Equity8 to Equity10 and will inform you when I make significant changes Then I will focus on Ogre to Milk with motions Ogre to Actor.

Thanks and regards.

Terry

PS
I have not done any help files yet if you need help let me know also if you spot any bugs or want any features adding or altering again let me know.

i noticed when importing .cob files the normal's are flipped. Model is inside out. Also, when you hover over the show normal's and show bounbing box icon it says "snow" instead of show. New interface looks good

Hi seppgirty

Thanks for pointing out my spelling mistakes LOL.

I have tried several .cob files and they all appear to be inside out it must be the way Truespace does things anyway I have altered the cob loader and flipped the winding order for the Mesh and now they come out the correct way.

This is a quick fix for now by the next release I will display a dialog before loading any model that will allow post processes to be altered such as Flip Winding Order Flip UVs and so on.

Cheers

Glad you fixed the .cob issue. I use truespace all the time. Having the flip order will come in handy.
