rf load screen failer

rf load screen failer

every time i try to preview my map it goes in till the final load screen goes black and quits to rfedit iv tryed every thing (looking for brushes wit null volume,deleting newer brushes) but nothing works

post the realityfactory.log file found at C:\RealityFactory (or whereever else u installed it)

It seems like you are using a texture which is not square and a power of two (like 64x64,256x256,128x128,512x512)
search for it, and replace it with a texture which meets this requirements.

Hi rmp123,

Welcome to Reality Factory. Sorry you're having this issue. I searched the forum for BeginFrame Failed, and came up with not much more than what was said here. One suggestion was that the user's video card was the problem. What is your video card? One suggestion was to open the realityfactory.ini file and change D3D to OpenGL, or it may have been ogl; one would work, I know. One user was trying a script which had an error in it, and the others did have mis-sized textures.

Beyond these things, I know of no reason for this issue. I wish you the best of luck, and please keep us posted. we will help you in any way we can.

good news and bad news changing d3d to opengl worked but now i have a frame rate of like 1 so how can i fix that

ohh dear :( that isnt good, just a couple of questions, can you/have you played the rf demo?

what have you done in your own level that you have made, if you havnt alterd the weapons or scripts, this mabe useful information to finding the cause. also the specification of your computer, if you dont know it, how long have you had your pc, was it new when you got it? if you do know your specification can you post it here, things of importance cpu speed, graphic card make and type and system memory (ram)

havent done any thing except make rooms yhe specs is a brand new 2 week old dell insperon 1501 laptop

u would think that if 9t runs half life 2 and css it could run this

have you tested the rf demo? does that run ok, cos if it does then its something wrong with your level probably, if the demo dont work then theres something wrong with RF.

when tryng the demo change the d3d back to same as it was at the begining, if the rf demo dont work in the d3d mode use opengl and see how bad the frame rates are, this will determin if its something you done or not.
