Reality Factory

I know a lot of ppl already posted somethin like this but i looked at those posts n i can't fix the problem. After i compile wit RFEditPro I can't preview because an error comes up sayin: windows cannot find C:/realityfactory.exe I already installed n uninstalled RF a whole buncha times, made sure it was savin the right place, n tried changin settings in videosetup.exe but none of it changed anythin. Appreciate any help, thanx

Does the demo run?

yea the demo runs wit no problems

Where did you install RealityFactory to? Is it in C:\RealityFactory? Is the editor located in the tools folder? Do you start the editor from inside the folder or from a shortcut?

yea it's in C:\RealityFactory n i start the editor from a shortcut

Ok, I see that the installer doesn't set the working directory correctly for the shortcut. Right click on the shortcut and open the properties dialog. Change the "Start in:" entry from C:\RealityFactory to C:\RealityFactory\tools.
Or simply start the editor from within the tools folder.

Aight the error message is gone but it acts like it's gonna preview then goes back to the editor

Has the level compiled without errors? Did you add a PlayerStart and PlayerSetup entity to the level? Does the RealityFactory.log file (in the main folder) show any error messages?

It compiles wit no problems n i have playerStart n playerSetup. Here's my RF.log:

It seems to be unable to find the menu background that should have been installed with RF...
Is the file present on your system or is it really missing?

I looked n the menu background was there

It's rather strange that it can find the image when you run the demo but not when previewing from the editor...
Have you tried starting the editor from the tools folder?

Yea i tried it n the same thing happened

So...what do i do now?

Its very strange considering the demo works do you have a another PC or laptop you can try it on and download RF again and see what that does so different PC and download Rf again see if it that works.
