It's in the reality factory root directory.

The video setup tool is not part of the current distribution because it is not up to date. You can adjust the video settings manually in the D3D24.ini and RealityFactory.ini files.

:? Hmm, I'm just as confused as Berthus did.

You said to edit d3d24.ini manually, but what key/value pairs to change the resolution?

Also, http://terrymorgan.net/rffaq.zip said to use the INIEditor and click on "Video Driver". I found no such option/button on the INIEditor.

I'm using v075.

If I were to release a game created with RF 075, I think it's too much a hassle to require the user to edit any INI file directly.

TIA

Resolution can be changed in the RealityFactory.ini file. There should be something like this:
;
; Fullscreen tells the engine to go full-screen or not
;

FullScreen=true

;
; Width is the width of the game display
;

Width=800

;
; Height is the height of the game display
;

Height=600
Pain is only psychological.

i actually have to agree with xeon 19, we need the ability to change graphics options in the game menu. it's very rare to come across a game these days that has you change the video setup outside of the game.

I think the best course is to supply a video setup both inside and outside the game.

I at least have one experience where I made an error in setting up a game, and made the monitor only shows garbage. I have to re-install the game just because the setup is only provided in the game, which I cannot access due to the garbage.

TIA
