An RFPro re-write/update please

Post by ardentcrest » Thu Oct 09, 2008 1:06 pm

Now we have (well almost ) Equity to replace AStudio, How about a updated RFPro.

One that fixes the bug with view with engine.
One that has the old, add and remove texture from the TXL file, put back in.
One that has an actor object library that also fills in the attributes to a defult.
One that has a wall tool editor ie http://user.txcyber.com/~si_slick/bmp2map/
but most of all
One that can make a cup of tea, while you create your world.

Jays RfEditProA works ok still for RF0.76 thats the one that you can add textures and delete textures from txl file and show the size of the brush bottom of the brush attributes dialog. The big failing with that one is it doesn't make tea.

There will be a totally new editor for the next version of Genesis3D so I won't do any work on RFEdit (Pro) anymore ...

Will that mean there will be a new release of RF when the new Genesis 3d editor comes down?

lol. No this is not from me. I never wrote an update for rfedit/rfeditpro. I made two community releases but no update for the level editor. No idea from whom RFEditProA it is...

Sorry Jay I thought it was you. Somebody did it for a community release a couple of years ago.

EDIT: I found it it was wxb1 that did it see here: http://www.realityfactory.info/forum/vi ... edit#p6191

That version is obsolete anyway. The mentioned features are included in the latest version of RFEdit Pro.
