Texturing

I have been working on a project but have ran into a big problem most of my textures are ugly and or unappealing and im no artiest and can do nothing about it. Are there any tutorials, help or anything that will fix the problem.

go to youtube and type how to make a free first person shooter part 2 it covers texture making. Also instead of a 256 color bitmap change it to a 24

Make sure your not using Paint!!! MS Paint is not very capable compared to other free programs out there. Paint.NET for example. If your willing to pay than there's photoshop too.

I have photo shop but I used paint. Its very good. nighthawk where do you get paint.net anyways

I've gimp but have 100% inexperience at texturing and i need to learn how to texture.

all the textures you use in RF are located in an archive called 'default.txl'. You can add textures with RF texture packer. To use textures you must use RF Edit Pros modify brushes tool. To make textures you must be experienced with your image editor, in this case: gimp.

@megatop, stick with photoshop. It's better than paint and that's why it cost real money :D I have PS on another computer but I don't use it and am better at PDN anyways. Well, than again, I'm not really good at any art in general to begin with :D
