explosions looks wrong.

Post by realgaming135 » Tue Nov 13, 2012 11:54 pm

Hello.

well...when something explode, it's in 2D. And that's a little annoying, when it explode in a corner. As you can see on the picture in the bottom, in the topic I've found, it looks a little wrong, when it explode in the corner.

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4130&p=32684&hilit=explosion#p32684

I have played around with the INI. files, but it is still the same, when it explode in the corner. :?
I could not find a topic about this, except for the topic above. Or maybe it's just me, that missed something, somewhere
So...is there any way to make an explosion in 3D or in a way, so it looks like a real explosion, even in the corners?

Thanks.

It's in 2D because that simple explosion is just using a single sprite effect. You may use several sprite effects with offsets, spray effects or even actorspray effects to get a more three-dimensional explosion.

You can actually add some pretty good effects to the explosions :)

And now I want to try making explosions myself. But I have absolutely no idea of where to start.
What is the best program to make explosions with? And how do I actually create a grey alpha bitmap?

thanks :D
