Importing as level-geometry?

Hi everyone :)

I didn't really know where to put this topic, but anyway here's the question:

Is it possible to import a model into RF as level-geometry?. - like a model made in Milkshape, 3DSMax or so.
This could be awesome if possible, and it would be much easier to decorate the levels.

I think I once did read a post in these forums about something similar, but I don't really remember it.

thanks. :)

You need to convert your model in to a RF Actor File (.act) then from within RFEditPro use the StaticMesh entity to add the actor model to the level as a static mesh.

Easiest way to convert the model to an actor is by using Equity. It allows you to import obj, 3ds, and ms3d files then convert them to an actor file.

Oh okay, I have done that a lot of times :)

I was more thinking, maybe importing as .map files, so it also can be edited in the RF.

Anyway, thanks for replying :)

I haven't tried this but RFEditPro does allow loading .map files and Milkshape can export them. Maybe just load the .map model in to RFEditPro then save it as a prefab which would allow you to easily place it in your level.
