Questions about RF editors

Post by deveringham » Tue Jul 19, 2005 11:41 pm

is there any way to make the 3D view rotate around all sides of a
level, a la milkshape, wings3d, etc?

The best I can do now is move the camera to the other side, then turn
around - an unbearable pain when I need to quickly see all sides of
a model.

also, is it just me, or does it take an impossibly long time for everyone
to manipulate actors? It seems there might/should be a way to render
them as boxes with arrows, like cameras, instead of calculating the
entire geometry of each actor every time you want to turn one of them
around.

I guess while I'm on the subject, there's a couple of brushes not
mentioned in the docs. What are 'flocking' and 'sheet' brushes?

Thanks,
Dan

you can move and rotate the camera in the top, front and side view just like any other entity

you can hide actors via the View menu in RFEdit Pro
View->Show->Actors

flocking is a broken feature of the engine just don't use it
sheet is like a 2D brush and is useful when making flat objects like pictures on a wall (only one sode of the brush is used, by default it will appear yellow in the editor)
