I have a working actor of it now working in rf. I did the rotation using equity but it is still messy and I really need to work out exactly the coordinates to put in.
I did warn you at the start that this job was not easy but I think the exercise will have taught you a lot about modelling and making actors. That is why I wanted you to do the work.

Get the latest equity 4.2.2beta from here: http://hosted.filefront.com/hgtterry
Open equity and load your actor file the first on you made that has all the motions.
Press the edit actor position in the viewer.
Press the + sign on the Y position on the actor position and move the slider fully to the right. Press the + sign again and move the slider until you get a value of 35.000 its a bit sensitive but you can get the exact figure.
Press the + sign on the Z position son the actor position slider and move the slider fully to the right and press the + sign again and move the slider until you get a value of 36.000
Move the slider on the X position on the actor rotation to the right until it reads 90
Press OK
Go to the menu Build and press rebuild actor and save as you new actor.
Thats it your actor has been rotated and positioned exactly as virgil is and will now work properly.
Much easier than messing around with lithunwrap and MS.
