Help in gmax with bones!
Help in gmax with bones!
Is there a way to attach a vertex to a bone without using envelopes?
Over 3 years (has it been that long?) and just now I noticed the day and month of my birthday were switched. Whoops!
Some 2d games I made, haven't made anything in a year though O.o

Re: Help in gmax with bones!
If Gmax is like other max versions, then you can turn on vertex sub object and select the vertices by control+left click.
Then select from the drop-down list "no blending".You assign the vertex to a bone link by clicking on the link
-the links are in orange color.
I think when you set (at the top level of the modifier) the physique to "Rigid" you can not see the links, but you can select them.
Click near a link-the upper arm as example-,if you hit some link,
the name of the link you chose will display and you will know which link it is you assinged the vertexes to.
If it is the wrong link, click again.
You can also assign vertexes to links in deformable mode, where the links display in orange as i said,
and switch to rigid to see the result.
Untill now rf uses no link blending,so have this in mind:each vertex can be assigned to only one link, the transformation does nt blend between two and more links.

I look everywhere for the stuff listed. I think gmax is different from the other max programs...
