Re: NEWB HERE
Reality Factory uses .act files (actors).
These can be created of the following files:
.max
.bdy
.nfo
.act
.ms3d (using Equity 2.4.7)
The best modeling tool to use is Milkshape 3d, but you have to pay some money for it, 25€/$35 I think.
There are also some free modeling tools on the market: Blender3d, Anim8or, Shapeshop,...

Re: NEWB HERE
You can but you need to use plugins to convert them.
The best thing is to do a search of the site, If you have a question, there may be 5 or 6 answers already posted on what you need and what to do.

Re: NEWB HERE
Welcome to the forums, mate.
Actually, I'm not quite sure about this all anymore as there's a fairly new tool that lets you create actors from .ms3d, called Equity. It may let you use .jpgs or something. Bernie would know more about that.
***EDIT***
I didn't see this answered yet. RF only accepts bitmaps. I've only used 24 bit BMPs but I'm pretty sure you can use 16 and 8 bit BMPs too. You can also use targa files (.tga) if you want transparency. You'll need to use the AlphaCreate program to create the targa file from two bitmaps, though. .TGAs produced by PhotoShop for example have never worked for me.laq2 wrote:what type of file is your textures?

Personal behavior. Way of acting. Bearing or deportment.Matte wrote:Just one question: condut/conduct/? What does that mean?
Pain is only psychological.
Re: NEWB HERE
lol you should be was suppost to be a kind of tounge in cheek comment not to be taken seriously lol
Re: NEWB HERE
No it doesn't, the only textures supported at the moment are .bmp and .tga. Photoshop 32 bit tga's compressed or uncompressed do work ok.Actually, I'm not quite sure about this all anymore as there's a fairly new tool that lets you create actors from .ms3d, called Equity.
