Post by sankha93 » Sun Oct 19, 2008 12:53 pm

I have converted a Half-Life model (.mdl) file into an ACT file. But the animations are really slow. Could please tell me how to make them fast. I have attached my work.

Hi Sankha,
Your motions have not been correctly exported from milkshape.
1 load the actor into Equity v5.0.2.
2 Export as milkshape ALL.
3 open milkshape
4 Import the ms3d file you just saved from equity.
5 Go to File -> preferences -> misc tab and set import frame 0 and animation fps to 25 ( or bigger if you want more speed)
6 Import the first animation from your .smd files
7 When asked to append animation say no.
8 check the animation for speed.
9 save export the animation as mot file and overwrite the motions saved from Equity.
repeat steps 6 through 9 for each animation.
10 open Equity import the ms3d file
11 go to motions tab and import the .mot files
12 go to file Save Actor As and save your actor
done.
