Keeping Objects To Scale

Post by MakerOfGames » Fri Feb 12, 2010 10:17 pm

Hi all!

Back from the dead(haven't logged in in quite some time :P ) and I just had a question about keeping game objects to scale. I have started to model some basic in game items and immediately realized I need to have a reliable way to keep things in proper proportions. So, my question to you is: How do you keep all your game assets to scale and proportion with one another? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Because I model everything, including the level geometry, in blender, I just do something like 1 blender unit is one meter, and model everything accordingly.
Once I was sad, and I stopped being sad and was awesome instead.
True story.

I'd say ignore the proportions for now. You can set the scale of the models in the game engine, anyway. Or do as zany told and use the units of your modeling software.
Pain is only psychological.
