Roadmap to RF v1.00

0.76 - Tools update (May 2008)
0.80 - Physics system (Q3 2009)
0.85 - Genesis3D 2.0 [Phoenix]
0.90 - Multiplayer
0.95 - Major bugfixing
1.00 - Minor bugfixing

Great! I'm glad that you've made such long-term plans and share them with us. Both RF 0.80 and 1.0. Yeah, it takes a long time to get there but at least we have something to wait for. :)

oh, once RF 0.90 is finished, it will be almost the perfect engine ^^ :lol:
lets see how long it takes. for now, i hope everything goes right ^^

I think it is a new version of genesis QoD is designing/programming. With T&L, Shaders etc.... The name Phoenix comes from the Phoenix which raises from its own ashes. If it is what i think i think it suits the new Genesis, because seen in comparison with the other engines, the Genesis engine really has 'burnt out'.

Independently. You should look to QOD's project as the real, ongoing Reality Factory. RF2 is separate.

This looks really good. 1.0 is an important step.

No matter what happens I'll be with both communitys RF and RF2

RF for me is a great noobs, getting started in 3d game creation, and RF2 will be for the intermediate game makers.

Its also great to see so many programmers comming on board with their own community release of RF.

When the time comes it would be nice to see these people comming up with new tools to help the RF noobs crossover their games and demos to RF2 like one to convert simkin to python and so on.

The tools are on their way Derek. Equity 4.2.4 released tonight and loadsa work in progress.
