we all get upset from time to time. personally i've seen worse posts.
Litterally every game I've seen where someone tried to get together a community project, failed within 2 months. communication of ideas is very difficult. game companies send their workers to siminars about communicating with their team. and they all work in an office together. so how are innexperienced people supposed to communicate all the ideas regarding a game OVER A FORUM. seriously, this is what kills it.
It's not that no-one wants to help with your game. you have to realize that game ideas and stories are a dime a dozen. Everyone here has their own ideas and stories that they would rather work on. it doesn't mean that they think any less of your idea or effort. litterally everyone here is willing to answer your questions and help you solve problems with your game, but no-one wants to DEVELOP your game, because they would be sacrificing their's in the process.
I'm challenging you!
GD1 you are exactly rite and I wholely agree with you its the communication thats the problem and the obvious fact that people want to realise their own idea not ''yours'' (yours as in sum1 elses)...

Okay. I take back the Troll accusation, but you have admit that your post was rather troll-ish. I've seen some really weird posts by people who were drunk. DisabledDan on the G3D board comes to mind. Total gibberish.
But calm down and listen to GD1. Community projects are rough, to say the least. I have never seen a forum that they aren't suggested multiple times, but never see fruition. Mostly for the reasons stated in this thread. No one ever means it in a personal way at all. If we could come together in an office and work together to find a common goal and meet there everyday and get paid to do it and feed our families. . .then we'd be ID Games, right?
I challenged everyone to have their game/demo ready in time to transfer to RF2 when it's ready, and folks seem to be all over that. But they will be working on their own dreams for that.

Hi Winkiller0, ......after that first post might be safe to say stay off the booze for a bit,
we are friendly community, but you should know if you've been round for a bit.
probally been said by everyone else, but the only problem which stops most teams from doing indie gaming -unless- you are being paid for it is....real life,
people have jobs, and families to attend to, i've seen many team project go by the wayside round here, be it creative differences, or not enough time, or even some one just "dissapearing" into the net and never to return again.
you best bet is build up some asset's and gain some interest in your project, say a couple of levels,
you like to challenge huh?.......
here my challenge, build part of a game, levels models textures scripts, and im sure you will find people ready to jump on board.
